The Birth of our Club

November 1997 there were 51 paid members.

President        Herb Robinson

V-Pres.            Glen Hunziker

Secretary        Betty Tiffany

Treasurer       Paul Kaufmann

We became officially incorporated July 30, 1998.

Herb Robinson was the President of the “club” until May of 2003. He decided to step down at that time. He had said that the holding that position of the clubs President has been both rewarding and a frustrating experience.

Our officers to date are as follows:

Dick Seller     President

Doug Dietrich Vice President

Kathy Huzzy   Secretary

Francis Roy    Treasurer*

To date, we, the club are over 180 strong. We have members that are from Lewis County, as well as other parts of the state of New York. We have members that live out of state as well, Virginia, Florida, Pennsylvania and New Jersey, just to name a few.

Our rides have as few as 13 quads to as many as 37.  We ride all summer starting Good Friday, if there is not too much snow, and usually do not have to put them away until the end of hunting season in December. We have rode the Hatfield-McCoy trails in May of 2003 and in September of this year, 14 of us went up into Canada and did some serious riding for three days.

Our President has started something that is great this year. It is  Trade-A-Ride”. We ride with another club and then in return, they come and ride with us. It gives us an opportunity to meet new friends, exchange ideas, and listen to others wheeler stories. We have picnics, barbecues, and ride to restaurants when we go on our rides.

If I do say so myself, a good time is had by all who ride with us. So, if want to meet new people and make new friends, come and join us.
